Description

New, still in the original shrink wrap, Slot.it SICA 07B Jaguar XJR9 modeled after the #22 car from Le Mans, 1988, driven by Derek Daly, Kevin Kogan and Larry Perkins. The Jaguar team was sponsored by Silk Cut, a British tobacco company. Tobacco company decals could not be displayed on cars at Le Mans so Silk Cut ran with their purple, white and gold livery but covered the Silk Cut lettering with purple decal bars. Slot.it has fashioned similar bar decal coverings over the Silk Cut tampo printed decals. The purple decal bars can be carefully removed to reveal the Silk Cut lettering underneath. NOTE: the last two pictures show a different XJR9 #22 with the Silk Cut lettering exposed. The car offered in this auction is in its original packaging and has the original purple bar decals covering the Silk Cut decals, as shown.
