Description
Presented is an antique, Japanese satsuma pottery creamer or milk pitcher made during the late 1800s or early 1900s. The ceramic piece is stout and completely handmade. The whole piece is hand painted with gold flowers or medallions surrounding a detailed genre scene on either side. One side features a pair of exotic birds, most likely pheasants and the other side shows a scene with a pair of roosters. This piece is in great condition for its age. There is crackalature to the glaze throughout. There are no chips or cracks. There is the remnants of a signature on the underside.
